RIWHE Scholarship

RIWHE is pleased to offer a $500.00 scholarship intended to contribute to the purchase of books for the academic year 2011-2012.

Female, RI residents, planning to attend a RI Institution of Higher Education for the academic year 2011-2012 are eligible for the scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded based upon academic merit, financial need and extracurricular involvement.

About Our Membership

Rhode Island Women in Higher Education (RIWHE) was organized officially at its first meeting on April 25, 2003. For a detailed description of the organization, please see the RIWHE Operating Guidelines. Dr. Nancy Carriuolo, associate commissioner for academic and student affairs at the RI Office of Higher Education, was the first state coordinator.

Women leaders in higher education in the state are encouraged to join RIWHE by contacting RIWHE at info@riwhe.org. Annual dues will not be collected; however, yearly events may require one-time fees.

Benefits of membership

Events. RIWHE will be hosting one event per year to bring RI women in higher education together. Please visit this site periodically to learn more about events. In addition, regional events and other items of interest will be announced on this site.

Networking. Make connections with other female leaders in the state. The current membership includes women from all areas of higher education, such as academic, student and financial affairs.
